Born in a windswept Iowa prairie town famous for 4,000 simultaneous monologues twenty-four seven Marvin R. Hiemstra, poet, humorist, social commentator, philosopher, and entertainer, loves words. Founding Editor-in-Chief of the BAY AREA POETS SEASONAL REVIEW, famous for the “Poetry in Spite of Itself column, Marvin performs and publishes across the United States and Europe. He studied at the Iowa City Writers workshop with Donald Justice and received a Masters in Literary Criticism, Indiana University. Dana Gioia called the DVD, FRENCH KISS DESTINY, Marvin’s kaleidoscope of poetry/humor filmed in San Francisco, “superb work.” THE TOWER JOURNAL praised POET WRANGLER: DROLL POEMS: “Marvin R.
